Helloe friends,

I have an strange problem, as soon as I start the Baan client and try to connect to Baan, Baan client does not connect to Baan and not even giving any error message. In the system event log the error message is as follows:

What could be the reason and how to fix it?

does this problem comes withh all the user id's. try to logonto baan with users id who has proper rights on the server drives (modify rights on. baan folder, oracle folder and if applicable audit folder also.)

Hope this rsolves u r problem.

There may be several reason of this problem, but first of all let us know whether this error is limited to single user or all.

Hi friends,

I tried to login with the default user "baan" having administrator rights on the local machine. Yes problem is with all users.

let me tell one more thing, this problem started since I restored the database. The Backup was of the other database server and I restored it on this server. May be there is some database server side setting is different, but make it sure that the directory structure is same, only the server name is different.
