Hi,

I'm newbe on Baan under Linux (SuSE9.3) with dbase Oracle 10.g.
I've installed Baan 5.0c Sp16 Porting Set 7.1d.10 on Suse n Oracle (this is new server the old server using Win Nt4 n Sql 7).
But when i login as bsp or other user which i created.. it works even with any password. I mean we can type any password for that user but i have already set the specific password on OS level..

Anything missed on my setup ??

Look in YAST Under Security and Users / Edit and create users
Expert Options / Login Settings

Look to see if Passwordless Logins is checked!

Hi Dave,

On my YAST Desktop - Expert Option these are only the following options:
Default for New Users
Password Encription
Authentication n User Sources
Write Changes Now

there's no LOGIN SETTING option..

Where is it ??

Dunno. mine's right:

Authentication and User Sources
Login Settings
Write Changes Now

maybe you can do a SuSE online update and get a newer version
of yast.
