Hi,
We are using worktop on Baan5c. We are getting an odd problem. when i start the worktop client, it could not connect to the server (production) but i could connect to Test Server. Its happening in one single machine. I deleted all the local files (C:/docs& settings/<user>/application/baan/worktop ... please let me know if i could erase any other local files or let me know the solution for the same.

Thanks
Sankar

Try testing that the .bwc for production on that PC also works.

Also, I have found that worktop will not work if you use "-- -set USER=xxxx" in the command box of the .bwc configuration.

Not sure if those are your problems, but somewhere to start.

HI,
basically baan client works in that machine. but when we use worktop, we do not require any .bwc at all. Here Worktop lies in one server(middle layer) and all users will access baan server by connecting through that middle layer.

Sankar,

Please fill your user profile with the BaaN, OS, DB version etc from the Control Panel.

What basic client are you referring to ? Worktop does require BWC. In LN/Gemini Tools you can also use the NO_WORKTOP in BWC file so you can work with Static Menu Browser and avoid the Dynamic Menu Browser from Worktop.

Is Worktop Centrally Deployed in your case ? Post more information about your problem/setup for others to help you.

Yes, the worktop is centrally deployed and my log gives the message "Error 003 : Dispatch for Baan Automation could not be created."
