I'm facing the problem re. SLM 2.2 (SSA Licence Manager) Installation.
I still can not success for SLM installing to Webtop Server (SUSE) (I use remote from computer base windows to Webserver), the error is "ERROR DURING A FTP CONNECTION TO THE HOST".. it's like the FTP Problem...
Any body know how or any consideration for setup FTP in SUSE...

fyi: this isntallation is on Development Server ; i use webtop 4, baan 5c SP16 SQL 2000.

could you manually ftp to suse-Server ??
(open command box on windows an type in : ftp (ip-adress or servername)

I can't to ftp manually from Windows to SUSE (WEBtop Server), always asking username and pass even we have key in the correct user (user root or common user).. what missed.. :confused:

The ftp message should be quite clear, check with your system administrator.
In any case, if your manual ftp does not work, your Webtop will not work also so you need to fix the ftp access.

you can install slm manually,
there are 2 tar-files for server an client,
works as well

The FTP is ok now but there's an other error during installation wizard after entry user n pass "Error during a REXEC connection to remote host" (see attachment).

Other question can we install SLM server n SLM client in the same machine with the webtop or must be separated ??.. The current condition is I Installed all in one machine..

I try to do manually installation too still on progress..

You need to enable rexec, see inetd or xinetd configuration (don't know which one you use).
