Using ba6.1 in Unix ,I am able to open Baan in ascii mode but I am not able to open it thru BW Configuration.When I am trying to do so, the error message showing is "Error 510 (Database not on) on SELECT
Can not continue in ottstpstdlib (mess)".
Can I get the solution for this?

It seems that you can not connect to database. Could be that in ASCII mode variables are set (ORACLE_HOME, ORACLE_SID, $ORACLE_HOME/bin in PATH) but maybe they are not set in tabledef or db_resource file.

These I checked but everything is fine.
Any other settings are to be seen.
How it is different for ASCII and BW Configuration.
