Is it possible to setup Baan environment that is like replica of existing one by just copying fiels at OS level? Can following steps be used?
1. Set up hardware identical to existing one
2. Install same version of OS on h/w
3. Install same version of Databse
4. Install Baan - Just basic installation - stnd VRC, without SPs/PMC
5. Copy directory '$BSE' from existing environemt to new environment
6. Perform lisenciing on new environment

Has anyone tried something like this?

It works, but you have to copy data as well.
