We are on WinNt 4.0 & BaaN IVc4 with SP16.

We are frequently facing a problem with loging in, server stops to accept new baan logins but existing (who already loged in) are working fine, it gives error

rexec failed host '192.168.1.11' username 'baan' command 'e:\baan/bin/ipc_boot6.1'
error : bw failed to connect to 192,168.1.11!bshell

what we found is the "logic service" is stoped, when we try to start it, then it gives error "Failed to start TCP Listener"

In even viewer we found an event :

Hi

Our OS was corrupted due to abnormal shutdown because of RAID 5 problems & we have recoverd it with the help of ERD.

The message is not clear, search for more clues in the event viewer, if your OS got corrupt it may be that the corruption damaged the Windows services or Baan binaries/libraries.
If the Baan directories were not affected then it seems a registry or services problem. Maybe re-installing the portingset can help or have it checked with Baan or Microsoft.

NT is not supported anymore, why not take the opportunity get a new machine with a more recent and supported OS?
