Hi,
I want to load service packs 11 to 16 in a short span of time. Is it possible to split the loading of service packs in two phases?
1. Load sp11 to sp16 of Tools dump. Do just one create runtime data dictionary for Tools(ttadv5213m000) collectively.
2. Load sp11 to sp16 of the application dump. Do one create runtime data dictionary(ttadv5210m000).
After completion of step1, Baan will be running for two weeks and then I'll do step 2. Is it possible?
Thanks,
srikarthy

Hi,
Never tried this.
Fundamentally there should not be any issue as Tools dump will change Tools Package and App. Dump will change other packages.
Tools CRDD will not take much time. Just curious about your Database Size & Hardware Capacity.
Best Luck.

No issues, u can install first the tools dump from 11 to 16 in one shot,
after any time u can migrate the application service pack from 11 to 16.
it will work fine.

Hi Suhas, Deepak,
Thank you very much.
Suhas, we use informix database and I have recently joined this company.
I am a functional guy but asked to load service pack. I have no idea
about database size, hardware etc. The server room looks like a cockpit :) .
That's all I know.
I have started installing sp11. Do I have to use session "import patch(ttiex1284m000) or scan solution file(ttpmc2200m000). In the documentation no session number is mentioned but asked to scan the PMC dumps.
Thanks,
srikarthy

Hi Srikarthy
You can start with PMC sessions.
Also before installation of SP's take a backup of application as well as tables. It will help you in case of any problem.

Hi Srikarthy
You can start with
ttpmc0299m000 for initialize PMC then run ttpmc0100m000 for Maintain Parameters then after you need to Generate and Manage package VRC sessions for installing of patches.
OR
Place the delivered update dump in any directory that you choose. You may use you home directory if you want. Remember, the dumps need not be left here after the initial import is complete as it will copy the file to the directory that you specified in Maintain Parameters. Now run the Scan Solution file session (ttpmc2200m000) from the Maintenance menu below Product Maintenance and Control (Recipient). In order to run this session the user must have a default text group for company 000 defined in the Maintain Default Text Group by User session (tttxt1113m000). The update VRC can be any of the ones that you created in Maintain Update VRC's (ttpmc2140m000).
ttpmc2200m000 Scan solution file
ttpmc2101m000 Rrocess solution
ttpmc2203m000 Check solution to install
