Hi,

After creating user under baan V when I try to convert it, I am receiving "Unable to open d:\baan\lib\msql_users" file. I also replaced the msql_users file with good the msql_users file, but still the problem remains. I have checked the variable BSE in Maintain Database Defintions and it says "d:\baan". I have also checked the Environment variables on the Server and BSE is defined there also. I also tried to use the extreme step of removing all records from tttdba020, 010 and 015 and also tried to run ottdba object for recreating the good msql_users file but still the problem remains. Please advise what the problem could be?

just a guess, in case u r uring unix, somehow read only permissions r not prsent for that file ??

That's kind of strange it should be looking in d:\baan\lib\mssql\msql_users

Otherwise, are you sure that your file isn't msql_users.txt or something?

best to open a cmd and have a look.

Check the file permissions for the user file for your user id.
