We have BaanIVc4 on MS SQL Enterprise Edition.
What is the best startegy in creating USERS.

Should one Baan user be linked to one MS SQL DB user?
Should all Baan users be linked to one?

Please advise.

You can create two database users in MS-SQL. Link one of them to user 'baan' which is the most privileged account. Link another db user to all remaining baan users.

It is not needed to create more than one MSQL user, but debugging, or security may change this.

For example if a MSQl error occurs on user bsp and all users are linked to this user, it is hard to find who is causing the problem.

Does this mean that you only need as many MS SQL licences as you have Baan database users?
