I am doing a new baan implementation.
I have an old company running and want to create a new company on the same server.

I want to copy masters from old company to the new company..

Any ideas...

Hi,

If you want to copy just the master data, I could think of two ways.

1] Take of list of tables which you want to move and then use bdbpre and bdbpost command to move the data from one company to the other. To make your life easy, you can check out the tables listed when creating a new Archive Company [Check SOL 103412]

PS: Please be aware that you will be loosing text, unless you separetely copy referencing text numbers in all the text tables.

2] If both the companies are going to be in the same package combination, then temporarily set the new company as Archive Company for the existing Company. Then you can use the "Archive General Data" (tcmcs4200m000) session to copy just general data between companies. Then, remove the connections between the two companies.
