We are now preparing to install service pack 6. As documented, before we install SP6, we need to install solution 150983m. During installation of solution 82074 (dependency of solution 150983), it pop up a message "Bad format file dump <> /applic/baan/bse/tmp/tmp053421061d/ttB40_c4/dumpo01".
After that I tried to download solution 82074 and scan the solution again, the system mentioned that there is an aborted solution need to be re-installed and abort the solution scan.
What should I do to recover this ??
Please help

hi,
you should go to GTM ttaad4100 and modify the status of solution 82074 on table ttpmc201 co. 000 from Installing to Available.
Rescan the solution 82074 with overwite set to Yes.

Thanks for the suggestion, I did that but still having the same problem. The following are the steps that I did:
1. GTM to change status to "Available" for table ttpmc201
2. FTP to $BSE/pmc/dumps/B40_c to delete 82074
3. Received a new copy of 82074stnd from Baan support
4. FTP the 82074stnd to the server in Binary mode.
5. Run session "Scan Solution" with "Overwrite" checked.
6. Run session "Process Solution" to "Check solution to install"
7. Status change to "To Install"
8. Run session "Install solution" - receive the same error message in the middle of installation.
Inform Baan support and currently still waiting for thier responce. Looking for other suggestions if available.
TQ.

The file size is the same.
Is there any way to verify the correctness of the dump file ?
I even ask baan support to zip the dump file and send it to me through email. After that I extract it and FTP in binary mode to the server and try again. Same problem happen.
I also tried to use session ttiex1284m000 (Import Patch) with option "Extract Only" to extract the dump file and I also receive message "Error in format patch file". Does it mean that the dump file is corrupted ?
Any hints of that ?

Hi,
Note the extra information 'between the lines':

and make the field "Checksum" -1 again.

you may download it yourself (without mail transfer or what? from Baan), follow the link:
ftp://ftp.support.baan.com/updates/B40_c/82074stnd
4. FTP the 82074stnd to the server in Binary mode.
into the directory $BSE/pmc/dumps/B40_c, into file 82074 (ommit the stnd part). Then skip step 5.
5. Run session "Scan Solution" with "Overwrite" checked.
6. Run session "Process Solution" to "Check solution to install"
7. Status change to "To Install"
8. Run session "Install solution" - receive the same error message in the middle of installation.

Baan support recommend to install SP6 without installing the pre-requisite that require solution 82074. The pre-requisite will be installed by the SP itself.
Follow instruction by skipping the pre-requisite and install SP6 - the SP installation completed without any problem with the pre-erquisite solution installed.
Thanks for all the advice.
