Hi to all,
a developer has used section ttadv5210m000 (Create RunTime Data Dictionary).
This section produce also new files fd6.1.* in BSE/lib as usual. (These files contain correct me if i'm wrong path to various parts of data dictionary.)
For one of them Baan miss to add a couple of lines pointing to some tools parts.
More precisely:

mtt:${BSE}/tools/ttB40_c4:${BSE}/tools/ttB40_c1
ftt:${BSE}/tools/ttB40_c4:${BSE}/tools/ttB40_c1
ott:${BSE}/tools/ttB40_c4:${BSE}/tools/ttB40_c1
ptt:${BSE}/tools/ttB40_c4
rtt:${BSE}/tools/ttB40_c4:${BSE}/tools/ttB40_c1
itt:${BSE}/tools/ttB40_c4
dtttxt001:${BSE}/dict/ddB4Cc4ac1 <--- these two lines were not
dtt:${BSE}/tools/dd <--- present into the file
d:${BSE}/dict/ddB4Cc4ac1

So users were not able to login because of the incomplete file, and I've to manually change it.
I have two questions:
- why that file was produced without theese two lines?
- how can I prevent this problem?

Thank you for your help!

don't use "Dump data definitions" when you're not specifically trying
to modify the FD files...

as for what's wrong, is the problem reproduceable?

Hello smallboy,

Session "Create Runtime Data Dictionary for Tools" (ttadv5213m000) is for
Tools.

Hi to all,
first of all thank you for your reply.
The problem is reproduceable; if I use the session ttadv5210m000, it creates the file without the two lines. We have two Baan servers (one for test and one for production) with the same software and OS. Only one has this problem (as you can image the production' one :-( ). I suppose somethings goes corrupted but I don't know where to check. Is there a table or somethings else in which baan stores the paths?
I agree with you that ttadv5210m000 should not be used for normal operations on RDD but the problem still remains.....

I think you're missing my point...

In ttadv5210m000 there is an option "Also Dump Data Definitions"
There is rarely any reason for this to be checked. If it is, It will create fd files, as well as other files.. (i.e., you are using for reasons OTHER than
making changes to Tables and Domains)

As for software directories. Look in session ttadv1115m000
