Our installation:
OS - Solaris 8 with chinese locale , LANG=zh....
Database - Oracle 8 - NLS_LANG=simplified chinese_china.zhs16cgb231280
BAAN IVc4 - multibyte without chinese language.
User locale in Baan (GB_SUN, or GB2312).
Emulation GBChinese
NLS on BW = Simplified Chinese (GB)
Regional settings on PC = Chiny

Chinese character in ASCII emulator (Reflection) is displayed and written correct.
But on BW client Chinese character is wrong converted.
I can input chinese character , save it but after refreshing I see different character.

I should set NLS_LANG in file $BSE/lib/defaults/db_resource.
Now it works.
