Environemnt - Baan 4c4.
1) Can SQL queries be generated using 'maintain query data' without a Baan
developer licence?
2) Does this session generate an object in the unix file structure?
3) Where can I access instructions on the creation & use of these Baan Queries.
Many thanks Mick.

1) yes
2) yes, it generates a standard Baan report
3) in the tools help file, under SQL. Not all functionality is available through the EASY-SQL forms, but there is an option in the menu to edit the query with a text editor. You can also use tools to change the report that is generated, but if you generate the report again all your changes will be lost.

You're welcome.
What I forgot to mention is that, although you don't need a developers license, I believe the user who creates the queries will have to be set up as a developer in Baan; at the very least they should be linked to an appropriate package combination since the reports generated are created within that structure. So if the current package combination for the user is set to for example to td ilc you'll find the report object in the directory structure for the location control objects and not, as you might expect, somewhere in tt. Not that this matters much under normal circumstances.

Hello,
the user also must have the text authorisation in company 000 in which the query is written to execute the query.
Ciao, Volker
