We are testing BaaN V as we normally work with BaaN IV but potentially may be upgrading. We have the admin training course booked but need a little help now.

When adding a user and converting to a database user, we can see the database group in session ttdba0915m000 (Convert BaaN user to database user). Can anyone please confirm if the "Default password" field is the database group password, and if so, what is the "Use system logon for the database user" check box for?

Yes the "Default Password" is the database group password. Only select "Use system logon for the database user" if you want to map the
Baan users system logon to the database user. If you have the documentation CD that came with the software, check out the Baan Administrator's guide (U7189BUS), has a section on the RDBMS that should answer most of your questions.
