Hi,

We are using baan4c4,informix7.3,solaris.Our Harddisk is almost 77% full.We want to install SP9.Is it possible to create link with other server,I mean $BSE on one server and establish link from other server for accessing the files

You could obviously use an NFS link to do this. For the application files this would also be ok in regards to performance in the long run. For the database files (even though supported for Oracle) I would not do this.

But maybe you can skip it at all by just cleaning up a bit?

Did you check how much rubbish yoiu have in $BSE/tmp?
Also check wether you will need the old PMC dumps and uninstall files. Once you migrated to SP9 you will not need these anymore, because you will hardly uninstall SP9, will you?


Maybe this wil do the trick allready!
