fnds,

I face a strange problem

after installing baan

say when i print areas tcmcs0445m000
in the form, criteria field appear as below:

from :
to : instead of ZZZ it prints graphic charecters........???

I suppose it is returned from the default fmax($#) set in the form field.

all the to fields in the standard baan forms display by default with this graphic charecter instead of ZZZZZZZ

WHY, any input pls

Hello vishbaan

...that is because of the characterset iso-bin. Just leave it like that and you will be o.k.

Also, if you mean reinstalling of BW client, then you must in each configuration file specify NLS(second tab) - usualy this is International ISO, or your local settings.

fnds,

my SQL collation is Latin_General Binary Sort order

my client NLS : tab reads International (ISO)

no this is the 9th server in the same group and only this server installation has the fmax($#) returning graphics charecter instead of "ZZZZZZ". Hence users do not accept to see this graphic charecter inplace of "ZZZZZZ" though it doesnt cause any problem .

as a work-around I have replaced the default form field values from fmax($#) to "ZZZZZZ". But how many forms i can fix like this.

still it remains, why fmax($#) returns graphic charecter instead of ZZZZZZ, please suggest.

thanks

We had locale problems and were told that only ISO_BIN was supported on Windows platforms
