I made a fresh Baan 5.2 installation. Installation was successful. Now I am trying to do post-installation task but can’t connect to Baan 5.2. The message is ‘No license to run object “/baan52/bse/tools/tt7.3_a/ottstp/ostpoledaemon’ (productId 1005). And the same messages for ostppollmess and odskbmbrowser.
Why I don’t have demo licenses?
I read in the manual that I must have BCLM server installed before installation of Baan 5.2. I had it but during the installation I was not asked for BCLM server. How does Baan 5.2 know where is BCLM server?

Thanks in advance for your answers.

The licence server name is listed in the file -

$BAANHOME/etc/servers.xml

I can connect to Baan using Worktop. It works normal, I got message about demo licences and everthing works OK. It is not possible to connect to Baan using BW. I don't know if it is normal or not, but I can finish installation.

Reply to NPRao:
Thanks. My colleague did validation steps and now I have this file (in my case on directory /usr/baan/shared/etc).

From Reger onwards, the access is from Worktop and not BW.

If you try to use BW you will get this message -

I don't have access to 5.2 to try, but Eric Stotz just posted an example on how to set it to use the bw in Gemini, would that work for you guys?

No it did not work in our Reger Environment. I will have to test in our Gemini environment (which I have shutdown for other reasons) and update the thread here.

I tried with -- -set NO_WORKTOP=1 and got the same error. Maybe it will work after validation.
