Hi all,

Being a superuser in Baan is quite practical and in general user authorization is often only used for application users (live environment).

Has anybody of you generated an "authorization model for developers" like "let him do everthing besides session create runtime , modifying /deleting common parameters, modifying user data, etc. -

Or is there some kind of a "DEM-structure" already available?

Thank you.

You can create normal user and control access through session 'Maitain Developer Authorizations by Package VRC' (ttadv0141m000) - for developers.

For regular users, you have a option using DEM or menu Authorizations

bherkend, Yes that is possible once you have determined what has to be owned by developers and baan system administrators.

You can use the tools - Role authorization templates to achieve this.

sikima suggested the way to restrict the developers to certain VRCs where the developers can modify the source codes, sessions, forms, reports, menus etc.

Here is a screenshot of our environment.
