i am trying to access the baan licence from a remote server. and remote server is HP unix database is Oracle. my local server is win nt and database is MS SQL 2000. WHEN i am mentioning the remote server name to licence6.1 it is not picking up the licence. can u help me in this matter...??
and i made an entry in my c:\winnt\system\drivers\lib\hosts file for the serevr and ip address.
wot are the conditions to access the remote licence..

For having networked license following are requirements.

1. Same porting set on both servers.
2. You need to have the separate validation key from Baan with network management option selected in tools.

I believe separate hardware can create problem in having networked license.

may you will have to patch your tools objects on your remote server. Another problem might be that on the nt-server the oracle database driver is not activated.

try to start licmon6.1 on remote server.
is it pointing to second server ?

and of course,
you need a brand-file with
ora8 and sql-driver on main-machine

otherwise you will get "unpatched binary" error
