Hi everybody,

I need advice from somebody who use "Job management".
Till today we use to start jobs inside baan-ascii or baan-bw. Today I've read BaaN's quick guide to Job Management. Goood! But not enough. I've tested to start a job from Unix. Problem? If my job is a periodical one (lets say every 5 min), it is executed only two times. And I have some jobs which I run pro day, week or an hour, too.
Any suggestion?
Thanks.

If you want to use an unix scheduler, like crontab by example, try to set the baan job to periodical-1 minute (obviously you have to deactivate the baan job daemon), so the next time of ready execution is always the next minute.

If you are interested, We run jobs through unix cron and have added special "Job Warnings". This is a custom function that tracks job status and emails users if job doesn't complete.
