Sir/Ma'am,
I have a problem regarding baan, I have a baan B40c.045 version and if I connect to the my baan gui/ascii an error occurs.

1 : Process 1 - fatal Error : Error 514 (security Error) ; probably no permission
2 : Process 1 - fatal error : Can not continue in ottstpstdlib (mess)
3 : Process 3 - fatal error : Error 514 (security error) ; probably no permission
4 : Process 3 - fatal error : Can not continue in ottstpstdlib (mess)

probably our DB2 (located in $BSE/lib/)in user is not getting the proper permission of the Database. how can I resolve this problem? Please help, we are having a hard time logging in to our baan system. we are using Unix on our baan server.

Thanks a lot.

Regards,
matt

Always search the forum before posting, as this was already answered several times.

See the following thread, as example: http://www.baanboard.com/baanboard/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1773&highlight=error+514
That error is because your user is not properly linked to the DB user, review the steps that were used to create the user, something was missed.

Also, your version of Baan is the Baan Client (BW GUI), not the Baan server version - check with your Baan sys. admin. (?)
