We have to install BaanIV c4 with informix 7.31 database. On the baan installation guide, it says 'must select Level2 as the database driver mode to use'. But I read a lot of user opinions that level2 is better but may also cause some unpredictable problems and performance problems.

Did anyone has some experience on this? Using Level2 instead of Level1.

Also, it requires/recommends to use two separate disk drive for rootdbs and baandb.dbs. Is it really required to do this? Because our hard drive structure does not really allow us to do so.

Please advise.
