hi all
when i am opening a text i notepad. the text is very long and system is asking to open the file in wordpad but when i open file in word pad and try to save it the changes are not gettigng saved. wot should i do?? is there any thing that i can change the default editor from notepad to wordpad??

As soon as notepad is terminated, this is notified by the BW to the bshell, and therefore subsequent editing in wordpad is discarded. Search the web for replacing of notepad. On W2K and higher this might pose a slight problem, but it can be done. Changing it in Baan isn't a good option. Maybe something for the wishlist, allowing one to specify the text editor?

but how can i change my notepad...and it is very difficult to change the editor at evey 300 machines. ...

Have a look at this (http://www.notepad-replacements.com/replace.html). Unfortunately, you will have to do it on all machines. I have no easy suggestion for this.
