I need to change BSE folder to another disk on Windows NT server. I have free space problems on current BSE“s disk.

After copy to another disk, what I do?

Thanks.

You can change ${BSE} location in your enviroment variables settings. But you should know that many things has to be done before you will use Baan normaly again (PMC directory, ...).
Maybe a better option to consider would be to make a mirror copy to a bigger disk.

It's possible, however ....

- besides the env. varaibles check the registry as well;
- check if you have hardcoded pathnames in your $BSE/lib/fd* files, if you have then change them in that file and later on in your dictionary;
- check the pathnames in your pmc setup;

Changing the BSE to another disk under windows would be a bit too risky for me. I would try to free some disk space by moving subdirectories to another disk, e.g.

- the audit directory
- the pmc directory
- the BSE_TMP,BSE_SORT directory
- the help directory
- if that is not enough: the biggest subdirectories under $BSE/application (via Maintain Direcories of SW Components).

After installing the new drive copy the BSE env to the new drive then use the NT disk administrator to change the drive letter between the "old" drive and the "new" drive.
