The different Oracle setting that can be set via ENV vars or in the db_resource file, fall into different catagories such as General client and server resources and General client resources.

Is the meaning of client and server referring to an actual client/server setup ? as in the Baan application on one server (client) and the Baan application/Database on another server (server).

Or is this refering to the client/server setup of the bshell to be database driver being the client and the database driver to the RDBMS being the server ??

Hi Nick,

It is referring to the bshell (and other tools like bdbpost) as client and the database drivers (and audit_srv) as servers
