Dear all,

How do I gain a remote control of BaanERP from Visual Basic using Baan's API? I've seen several samples in other threads where VB calls up API commands. We've been able to program several API sessions in BaanERP, but now would like to achieve the same control from outside of BaanERP. Do I have to install anything in particular beside BaanERP and Visual Basic? Thanks very much for any help

Not really usually the install of the client takes care of the registry entries, but if not then there is a bw.reg file that you can run. This depends on the version of your client - some of the older versions you have to install bw.reg yourself. You use the sample spreadsheet baan.xls to see how to open and close connections to Baan. Then use the samples in this forum to drop in your FS code.
