Simple question - has anyone managed to get an ION mapping to work to/from LN?
I'm finding it extremely difficult to get from the XML definition of the LN BODs to an XSLT format that the ION Mapping requires.
Thanks

Hello.
Suppose I possible not understand exactly what do you mean as "ION mapping", but BOD mapping for LN (inbound and outbound docs) is described in documents linked to 22945150 KB article on inforXtreme site.

Hi Rostislav, no this is about the conversion possibility in ION itself. In a document flow you can include a mapping step.
Hi Andy, can you post what you already have?

Hi Andy,
We are an Infor Global Solution Partner for LN and Baan. Can you PM me more details about your requirements as the solution below (see URL) might be able to help:
http://www.efstechnology.com/document-output/xml-creation-and-processing/
We can basically take the BOD and map it on the fly to any Schema based on variable logic (we also have the ability to alter the XML structure using our Transform module without any mods required to ION / ERP LN etc).
Many thanks, Marc - mj@efstechnology.com

Hi
For make the XML mapping (Transform Sync to process for example) and generate the xslt. i'm use external tools like Altova mapforce, it's not free but the ROI is very Good.
For Information, Now in Version 10x (or 11) à tools is now delivery in ION, it's the ION Mapper (based on Eclipse Studio). i'm not yet used but i thiik is very interesting.

Hi Andy,
Indeed in latest version of ION (10x) you have ION Mapper application that can help you create mappings. You can additionally add some java codes in the mapping while designing it in ION Mapper. This is an additional option given along with existing XSLT mappings

Thanks for the tip. I use Altova Mapforce for my EDI mapping. I would try that as well.
