i have never used function server , but would like to do so
if any one can give me some help in like what are the benfits and any links to documents which cud help me in starting with ddc.

I use function servers for mass type updates. For example - adjusting in inventory, bin to bin transfers, manual transfers. I do not know anything about the DDC versions of FS, but I use the stpapi versions. The documentation I have is at attached on another thread. Follow this link.
