Can someone direct me to documentation that include the most current instructions and/or explanations of archiving? I am new to this subject and would like to be able to refer to documentation as I start to set up archiving on my system. Any help would be appreciated.

The document referred to by Jeurgen is actually a bit old.
It depends of course on the level of SP your on, take the session tdpur4223m000- process purchase orders, if you still have the option 'delete up to' use the 'old' doc, if not have a look at an other (newer) version.

You can search for documentation on the Infor Support site (keyword archiving) and you will find the document "Baan IV Archiving - Student Manual" Code P-ARCH-4.0c.
It's last revision date 17 -may 2005 (also old but after 2005 not much changes in archiving). I think it's a very useful book, which gives good info what tables are used in what way.
