Hi,
I execute ole functions from visual basic, and when baan ends, options dialogs is open.
Do you know if exists any parameter to open only one license, and when is finished close baan?
thanks

Not sure I understand. When I use the ole functions from excel, Baan opens up and uses one license. Then when I close the baan4 object it releases the license and the option dialog closes. So I am not sure I understand your question.

In some clients OLE do that you say, but in others, the application of baan ends, and the option dialog not close.
Somebody said me that there is a parameter, in baan installation that do that I say.
Sorry but my english is very bad.

Your english is fine. I am not aware of a parameter that might need to be set, but that does not mean there is not one. The only thing I do is some simple excel reporting - I am the only one here that ever uses it. The only thing I set is BaanObj.Timeout = 10.
For the ones where the option dialog is staying open, have you looked to see if something else might be running on it to keep it open? So if you clicked on option dialong, then start shell, then do a ps. This will show what is running? Sorry I am not much help, but you might have to wait for an expert to come along.

Thanks Mark
when I put 'ps', the only process is ttstpoledaem.
I use ole with a program in visual basic, the program call a report.
Before the baan was in unix, and now baan is in windows. Perhaps has changed a parameter, I don't know.

Yep - thats about all there should be running. Have you contacted Baan? They might have a solution or suggestion.
