I created an OLE interface between a web application and Baan for processing purchase order information entered with the web app. Do I have to install the Baan client on every user machine for it to work? Is there a way to install the client on the machine hosting the web app and avoid the administrative effort to deploy the client for every user?

From what little I know and from what I've read on here the client must be on the machine that will be the web server.

During your testing obviously you will want it to be on the local machine that the asp pages are running on.

I'm currently just playing around trying to learn a little about this stuff (since my good ole buddy told me about it). I'm trying to get a simple interface to work using ASP.NET and Visual Studio. So far I haven't been successful and can't even make the baan connection.

Don't give up and hopefully someone will respond to your question.
