Is there any way to execute any session like tipcf5250m000 from Baan script?

I tried to use a pre-defined job and then I am going and updting the job input in table ttaad503 with specific Quotation number. But when I am trying to rc.start or activating the job its not activating (using shell() function). Its activating from UNIX command line or through cron.
My problem is, I want to run tipcf5250m000 for specific Quotation number from my own script. I can't run it as scheduled cron job.
I have done this earlier in NT by creating a specific .BWC file and then with app.start. Here it is UNIX and shell not activating the job.

Is there any other way to do this things?

Thanks in advance...

Jay

You can use Baan's Application Function Server (AFS) technology via API calls to envoke standard Baan sessions and pass to it field information via a Baan script. There is a lot of information on this topic posted at baanboard.com and baanfans.com.
