I wanted to open up a dialog on Oracle tuning for Baan systems. I am not the most experienced DBA, but I'm not new to it either. I have become aware of changes to Oracle that open new doors to understanding performance and have found that they work well. I would like to offer this article by Gaja Vaidyanatha, one of a growing number of Oracle people exposing these changes in Oracle and how to take advantage of them. I hope that this will be the start of a good and meaningful discussion.

Very enlightening.

I am not a DBA but always involved in the endless discussions on Oracle tuning and this document touches all the subjects that until now used to be 'over my head'.

Well not anymore <evil grin>. Thanks Gilbert.

This post needs to be made sticky.
