This solution is for session tdsls4102s000. With this solution all checks on api.mode are changed to checks on api.mode AND boi.calls. When installed, this solution will cause your own scripts using api calls for this session to stop working. Maybe a good idea to not install this solution until the fix for this has been published.

Isn't the only change required the additional setting of an extern variable boi.call to one of the values detailed in the script tdsls4102?

That might be seen as a solution. But if you don't have source code of this script, it will be trial and error to add this logic to your own afs scripts, you cannot predict what will be the consequences of filling the boi var. Further more in the past it has be decided to use api.mode for afs background processes and boi calls for afs boi calls. This of course can and should not just be changed for one session, that would change the core of afs. I'll keep you posted if a solution is provided.
