Hello Everybody,
in my earlier company i had the free baan native driver Seagate offered in the beginning of 2000 I think. Now I want to you use it in my new company, but the CD cannot be read
Is there anybody who can send me this Driver?

The driver you are referring to was released in 1999 as a beta release from Seagate. They have since then released several supported production versions. The Seagate Info software (Crystal Reports and Crystal Enterprise) are now owned by Business Objects (www.businessobjects.com), and the driver is now called Crystal Enterprise Solution Kit for Baan v10. It is licensed with the Crystal Enterprise system and can only be purchased through Baan or Business Objects. If you are able to find the beta driver, it is not supported with current releases of Baan IV or V.

The driver is scheduled to be terminated by SAP who now owns Business Objects / Crystal Reports. You will need to contact SAP/Business Objects to see if they will sell it to you or not.

I cannot send it to you because it is a licensed product. You have to purchase it. Go to www.sap.com for more information.

You could always try an ODBC connection instead - I use this alot and have also used the supported Crystal Drivers in the past, only main difference is translation of enums, but this fairly easy to get over.

With ODBC you also have Baan text, Baan null date values, and logical tables to deal with. This is not impossible to overcome, but requires more planning to use.
