We are trying to Archive Inventory Transaction by Item (tdinv7210m000) for a particular year. Total 85 % of the records have been archived and 15 % records still exist and it is not moved to archive company. Even Projects(pcs) & production orders relates these records are already archived.

we dont know why these records are not archived. I could not find any link. Please advise.

The inv history may not be archived if the

1. Inventory transaction date > the date u specify on the form. or
2. Project status is not archieved.

Just check this .

attaching an archiving notes related to archiving inventory history etc.. as we did the same 2 yrs back, the docs will explain which records will be archvived which not be, complete logic/reason of is mentioned.

This is an old post, but it describes well our problem.
As it's explained in the archiving documentation, the "tdinv7210m000" session archives inventory transactions comparing the transaction date (trdt) with the form parameter.

The "tdinv700" table is read sequentially for each item from the oldest transaction date to the newest, but once a transaction on a non-archived project is met, it jumps to the next item and doesn't analyse other transactions.

I don't understand the logic and it causes many problems in my company because we are re-using a production orders serie and it results in a melt of oldest and newest inventory transactions in the tdinv700.
