does anybody have an Tru-64 (4.0f) running with oracle 7.3.4
with an SGA-Size bigger than 2 GB ?
if yes,
how do you set kernel-parameters ?

As far as I can remember you can't use 7.3.4 for SGA > 2 Gb on True64.
BTW: you know that the mentioned version was desuported after 31-12-2000?

you upgraded the OS so...
But if you have probs because you need more than 2 Gb,try to split the Baan envionment is 2 pieces (e.g. production and test). In that way you can use 2 Oracle instances and use 2 x 2 Gb SGA.
Hope this helps,

that's a good idea,
but it is only prod. machine,
i can split only the companys

Maybe you can split up the prod companies. You have following options:
- comp 000 + some related companies in Instance 1 and other companies in Instance 2.
- create 2 Baan envrioments each with its own comp 000 and Oracle instance.
Both have advantages and disadvantages. The licence of Baan can be shared across the 2 instances, but I don't know how this is arranged for Oracle.
Good luck,

I don't know. Please check your local Oracle account for it.
