Hi there, has anyone archived master data.
for example: items, customers, suppliers......

We have been archiving off production, transport, sales, inventory and finance on an increasing basis.
We now have a lot of master data in the live company which hasn't been used for 2-3 years and everything which references it has already been archived off.

Does anyone know if archiving this master data is possible?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Most archiving sessions contain a possibility to archive your master data. However this means the master data is copied to your archive company because it is needed there otherwise you get reference errors. The master data is not removed from your operational company in that case.

When you archive all your data, sometime it should be possible to remove certain master data from your operational company, however it is not so easy to remove an item for example.

Deleting master data should be done using the normal Baan sessions for maintaining this data.
