I am in BaaN IV c4.

I make a service order for a customer whose currency is USD.
My home currency is Dirhams.
Now in session tssma3110m000 "maintain actual Service Order Cost and Revenues", if I take cost type as work hours, insert an employee and a task ( I have attached the task to session tssma3120m000 "Maintain hourly rates"), the amount in the price field is coming as what i have entered in the session "Maintain Hourly rates" and not with the converted rate. How do I overcome this? I know it can be done by entering the rates by customer in the session tssma3121m000, but a combination of a 1000 tasks and 1000 customers makes the job too tedious. Is there a work around?

I suggest you log a case with BAAN Support.
The currency of the customer and the service order are in USD and therefore the field "Price" should reflect USD.
This has to then also be on the invoice.

Right now I do not have a nice work around for you and if BAAN Support believes the issue you are having is not a bug you have to customize session tssma3110m000 if you want to have an automated solution.

Thanks for your suggestion. The problem does not occur if the Cost type is 'material' and a physical item is taken. Here the rate conversion is perfect.

As you can see there are some inconsistencies in the ways things work for you.
"Material" is not a problem. However, 'Work Hours" is.
You can safely log a case with BAAN Support now and tell them about these inconsistencies.
I don't know how long you can wait for the fix but at least you can get a solution without a customization.
