I am in urgent need of some guidance on how the RMAs and repairs module work in Service.Even though we use 5.2a, the functionality may be similar in LN.

We use just the contracts managment & Service orders portion of the Service module.

I have tried the Infor site, but find it too cumbersome to get any good search results back.

If there are any implementation, user guides or just an overview, this would be extremely useful

Hi Ash,

If you have an Infor365.com account, take a look at the following:

* Document P3506C US - Infor ERP LN Enterprise Business Model (EBM) - Case Descriptions
* ERP LN Support Briefing Video - Intro to Maintenance Sales Orders

Chapter 13 of the EBM has a good start to finish overview of the RMA/Request for Depot Repair process.

Hope this is enough to get you started.

Hi Ash,

Yes, we do use the MSO and RMA functions at our site.

As far sending the documents, I don't know if that violates the rules of this site regarding copyrighted material ... Maybe a moderator can let us know if it is OK.

In the meantime, you can view the Intro to MSO video by selecting Support Briefings on the left side of the infor365 home page and then Filter Videos by Product - ERP LN.

To get DocLink search to work right ... you have to add https://srv-nld-km1.infor.com to your list of Trusted Sites in Internet Explorer. This is explained in Solution 955708.

Hi,

As far as I know the RMA and Depot Repair functionality is not the same for 5.2a and ERP LN 6.1.
These are two totally different packages and so the functionalities of RMA and Depot Repair cannot be compared.
Needless to say, ERP LN is much more complete and has robust RMA and Depot Repair functionality which 5.2a has not.
