Dear Friends,

I am new to Baan.

Can someone guide me on the method of recording machine downtime for service or breakdown in Baan? Which module should I use? Service? Or can I just do it though hours accounting?
I tried to maintain a serialized item in service and also attached the machine code to this item. But I am unable to understand or know whether this will automatically account for the number of the hours which the machine will be down.

I request the moderators to post my message in the appropriate support forum if this is not part of service.

Please Gurus, I need your kind help in this area.

Dear User

The call management works like a call centre concept where u can log your complaints for breakdown mantainence activities.
You can register a complaint for a poarticular machine , record the downtime and rime taken to solve the problem also detail analysis of problem.

Further in Serialized Item dashboard can be used as Machine history card to retreive the past data.

For this all Machines are required to be mantain as service item and are to be searlized for unique identification.
