Hi,

We are on Baan 5 with sp19, when ever we create Contract Installments , the Installment No. gets generated in increments of 2, like if we have a installment no. 110 already present for a contract, then the next no. is generated as 112, so i am wondering can we controll this behavior like we can control in sales as far as Position creation is concerned.

Is this setting parametrised or hard coded in baan script ?

Waiting for your reply.

Hi Learner,

I do not think this is hard coded and my advise is to check the step size in the set up of the first free numbers defined for the Service Contract Installments.
This is found in the Common Data tables.

Hi,

Not sure, if you mis-read my Question ... I am talking about this no. , the one which is highlighted in below screen shot.

As far as i know First Free No.'s are for Orders and not for positions within order .... correct me if i am wrong .....

Any other hints/suggestions ?

Neeraj

Hi,

OK, I see your point.
I will be able to respond next week as I will have access to a b50 system again.
For now I have no other ideas/suggestions but cannot remember the installment number is hard coded like this..

Edwin

Hi,
If the contract terms are split by configuration then the installments are generated with a step size of 2, else it uses a step size of 10. This is hard coded and cannot be changed.
