Hello !

I am facing some problems (or doubts?) when I try to specify a Serial number for an Item in a Service order transferred from the Call Management module.

The regular (or actual) procedure is:
1. The customer calls for a problem. The item serial number is not known at this moment. A call is entered and transferred to a Service Order.
2. The service department performs a detailed diagnostic. They specify the activity and actual labor and materials. This is the moment where the Serial Number of the serviced Item is know.
Unfortunately I could not issue actual materials nor post hours accounting because a serial number was specified into the Service order activity.

Since this is a common situation for a Consumer Goods scenario, I wonder if anyone faced this problem before.
