Is it possible to generate Installations automatically as soon as Packing slip got printed rather than thru the session tssma1202m000 (generate installations).

we have defined location as customer code itself.

Unfortunately that is not possible in standard BAAN IV. If you need this requirement you will have to build this as a customization.

Pls try generate Installation for Sales Order line Item, after the Sales Order Line Item was entered. This will create an Installation for the Line Item automatically.

Usually companies would like to generate a new Installation in Service based on the shipments of the products (when printing Packing Slips for example) and not at the moment of Sales Order Line entry.
This has to do with the fact that at the moment of shipment the serial number (usually the Lot ID) of the end item is available and at the moment of Sales Order Line entry this information is not yet know.

It will all depend on the business process that is preferred.

Yes, I accept Mr. Edwin point. Installation can generate only after packing slip got printed.


I thought of generate installation automation thru customisation using AFS.
