How many of you does use async i/o with hp/ux and oracle?
How big is performance difference or is there any?

(hpux11 with sc10, oracle8)

Asynchronous I/O performs better.

Though unless your system is I/O bound, you probably won't notice too much difference.

There is also an option in Oracle to simulate asynchronous I/O should you not be able to use, or not desire, File System Async I/O.
