We have Baan4c4 and we are using Baan2Win add-on to print from Baan directly to MS Excel, Word, PDF, etc. We would like to use Webtop, but the Baan2Win add on is not working on Webtop. Does anyone have any idea about how to print from Baan Webtop to MS Excel and Word?

Greetings Razman,

There are certain Baan functions which are not supported in Webtop. Functions such as client2server, server2client, shell, etc (You can probably get a complete list from your account rep) are not supported in Webtop because there is no application residing on the client PC. I'm not familiar with the B2Win products, but I believe they probably use the server2client function to transfer the file to the users PC, to subsequently open in Excel, Word, etc.

I would just add that Baan is apparently addressing this with new functions for Webtop - see this post:

So, it should not be long for Nazdaq to update their B2Win stuff for Webtop, if they have not done so already. Have you sent the issue to them?

Description: Printing to Excel
Device type: rewrite file
4GL Program: ttstpconv
Argument: ASCII:excel.exe

works fine in 5c.

The B2Win product and other add-ons from NAZDAQ work with WebTop. This is not the standard version but special versions that were matched to work with WebTop 4.0.
