I'm new in this matter, but I have a machine with Microsoft Windows XP Professional, may I install DM without problem or I need some special setup?

DM is mostly a set of tools that can be installed on a client machine. However you need to use SQL Server / Analysis Services to create your OLAP cubes, repository database and your datawarehouse. So you'll need a Windows server with SQL Server installed on it somewhere in your network.
