After installing the Enhanced mode C2-Level security on Unix AlphaServer ES-40, O/S Ver 5.1A , BaaN does not allow to login, because from "/etc/passwd" file, encrypted password removed after installing the above security level.

The same problem I logged with BaaN on 26th Nov, 02.

Not only BaaN deny logging but all its unix utility as well i.e inf_admin6.1 thru which users is created for informix also does not allow you to access the database, it is giving the same error

What I came to the conclusion that some of the Unix based appliaction is using "crypt()" for password validation, and BaaN is one of them, but I would like to confirm it from BGS.
